Building Expansion Update

Site preparation is complete. The ground has been excavated, leveled and the concrete foundation poured. The flat work has been sealed. A sidewalk was created to connect the building entrance to an additional parking lot which will be located on the backside of the new building.

The pre-fabricated steel building components are arriving at the construction site today and are being staged behind the existing warehouse.Erection of the structural steelwork will begin next week. This will involve positioning, aligning and securing the components on the prepared concrete foundation to form a complete frame. As the new addition begins to rise above the foundation, the frame work of the building will soon begin to take shape.

New additions of personnel, along with a current expansion project, are proof that AmeriLux is committed to growing its business to keep up with its customers’ needs.

Currently, AmeriLux is at the beginning stages of a 21,000 square foot expansion to its current fabrication and distribution facility; brining the overall size of the facility to 60,000 square feet.

Site work has already begun and the project is scheduled for completion in September of 2012. As an industry leader, AmeriLux understands how this expansion will benefit its customers and the polycarbonate industry in general.

Additional floor space will mean increased inventory levels and opportunities to house more SKUs. Additional space for the fabrication and facilitation of orders will also allow AmeriLux to shorten lead times even further.

AmeriLux views this expansion as an investment in itself and in its customers with the hope that it will grow business for everyone involved.
