Discover the Future of Daylighting and Earn CEU Credits

AmeriLux International is a continuing education resource providing course offerings for architects and designers looking to earn CEUs (Continuing Education Units). Our goal is to provide current and informative accredited online continuing education courses for individuals looking to increase their knowledge on a specific subject or to maintain their professional license.

AmeriLux International currently offers an AEC Daily Distance Learning Course and two Continuing Education Webinars. These free courses offer AIA Continuing Education Units HSW (Health, Safety, and Welfare) and also qualify for Sustainable Design.

“Daylighting and Energy Efficiency with “Green” Polycarbonate Solutions” covers the manufacturing process and the many possible uses of polycarbonate, giving specific attention to daylighting opportunities.

“AEC Daily Polycarbonate Sheeting Solutions” is similar to the Daylighting and Energy Efficiency presentation and is offered anytime through AEC Daily.

“Achieving Sustainable Design with Polycarbonate Standing Seam Products” provides an overall understanding of multiwall polycarbonate and the new advancements in technology specific to the standing seam product.

To learn more about these courses, as well as other upcoming webinars, please visit the Distance Learning section of our website.

If a more personable presentation is preferred, we also have several strategic partners located in different parts of the country who are able to give these courses as face-to-face Lunch and Learns on our behalf at your facility. Please call Tim Fikkert for more information at 888.602.4441.

AmeriLux International is committed to educating the Architecture and Construction community on the advantages of daylighting and multiwall sheets. We pride ourselves with providing the Architectural community with the tools they need to be successful!

Polycarbonate Partners bring New Product to Market

New to the U.S. Architectural Market, Lexan* 50mm Thermoclick* sheet is a lightweight, impact-resistant, energy-saving, 9-wall sheet with a profiled V-joint connection. This inter-connecting system includes a tongue-and-groove for double sided tie on the inside eliminating the need for vertical profiles, thereby savings costs and enhancing aesthetics.

The first project in the U.S. to utilize the Lexan* Thermoclick* 50mm product is near completion. The project is the new state-of-the-art, open-air BBVA Compass Stadium. This soccer specific stadium is located in Houston, Texas and is home to Major League Soccer’s Houston Dynamo. AmeriLux provided the 50mm Thermoclick* sheets used in the system designed and engineered by Duo-Gard Industries, Inc., headquartered in Canton, Michigan (www.duo-gard.com).

AmeriLux and strategic-partner Duo-Gard view projects like the Houston Stadium as opportunities to create cost-effective solutions that exceed customer’s expectations. Understanding the stadiums desire to expand its branding efforts, AmeriLux provided a special “Orange” 50mm Thermoclick* sheet to portray the teams color. Working together, AmeriLux and Duo-Gard were able to produce a brand-identifying, eye-catching, product in a timely and efficient manner.

As the exclusive distributor, AmeriLux is excited to offer the Lexan* 50mm Thermoclick* sheet – there is no other product like this in the U.S! The advantage of this material over others is its strength, superior insulating qualities, and UV protection. By investing in extensive warehousing capabilities, AmeriLux is able to stock sheets up to 38.7’ long in standard colors of clear and opal. As mentioned earlier with the stadium project, a variety of specialty colors are also available.

This product has already sparked the interest of architects and designers all over the world. To learn more about how this product can impact your projects, please contact Betty Reed at 608-295-5565 or send her an email at betty@ameriluxinternational.com.
