Noteworthy 2013 Projects

Is it too late to say “Happy New Year”? Even though we are well into the month of January, everyone at AmeriLux would like to wish you good health, happiness, and success in 2014.

The past year proved to be a challenging but successful one, as several noteworthy projects were completed. Among these projects included:

The Cassandra Voss Center, De Pere, WI. Combining the use of LEXAN™ THERMOCLEAR™ Lumira® aerogel-filled panels with unfilled panels, polycarbonate skylights give the stairway to the second level of this restored historic building a feeling of “space and light” and enhance the old bell tower with natural light.

Ecohawks Research Facility, Lawrence, KS. The University of Kansas’s “Studio 804”, an organization for graduate students, studying architecture at KU, developed a motorized “sunshade” system which features Lumira® aerogel-filled LEXAN™ THERMOCLICK™ polycarbonate panels.

Independence Community School District, Independence IA. A unique feature of the new Junior/Senior High School is a large barrel vault skylight system. The LEXAPANEL® polycarbonate standing seam skylight system spans the entire “main street” of the school bringing natural light into the building.
